Evening Class – Twilight Textile Techniques on Tuesdays
6.30pm – 8.30pm Starting 4th October
An opportunity to learn textile techniques after work this is a 6 week evening class that will cover machine embroidery techniques. Come and learn new skills or improve some of your rusty ones. Techniques covered will include: Week 1: Basic Free Machine Embroidery. Week 2: Free Machine Embroidery continued. Week 3: Layering Up, Cutting Back. Week 4: Quilting Techniques. Week 5: Working with Dissolvable Fabrics. Week 6: Manipulating Fabrics.
Please note that you will need to bring your own sewing machine for this course.
£90 per person for the 6 week course.

Fiona Wilson works in a variety of materials, wood, paper, cloth, stitch and printed matter to create work based on collections and narratives. Intrigued by the lost, the overlooked, the forgotten and the hidden, she has an eye for detail and a passion to share skill and knowledge.
Fiona has taught workshops both at Radiant Works at Huddersfield and within colleges and Universities since 2009 and has experience of tutoring and lecturing groups and individuals from private workshops up to degree level.
Fiona offers a variety of technique based courses as well as a more mentoring and developmental approach for those who are looking for advice and feedback to challenge their work.
